What is volumetric weight?
Courier companies charge by chargeable weight, which is the higher of actual weight and volumetric weight. Large but light boxes can cost more because they take more aircraft/vehicle space.
Length × Width × Height (cm) ÷ 5000 = Volumetric kg
Example: 50 × 40 × 30 cm ÷ 5000 = 12 kg. If actual weight is 8 kg, chargeable weight is 12 kg.
