Restricted and prohibited items
These items must be checked before booking. Country-specific rules can be stricter.
Never accept without approval
- Cash, currency, jewellery, gold, silver, precious stones.
- Weapons, ammunition, explosives, fireworks.
- Alcohol, tobacco, narcotic/illegal substances.
- Flammable liquids, perfumes, aerosols, batteries where restricted.
- Live animals, plants, seeds, soil and raw wood.
- Fake/counterfeit branded goods.
Needs special checking
- Food items.
- Medicine and health products.
- Cosmetics, powders and supplements.
- Commercial goods and high-value items.
- Electronic items and batteries.
Usually easier
- Clothes and garments.
- Books and paper gifts.
- Non-liquid, non-fragile personal items.
- Properly packed dry snacks where service allows.
