Customs
Customs requirements customers should understand
Customs clearance is controlled by the destination country. Courier can help submit details but cannot guarantee duty-free clearance.
Declaration
- Declare correct item name, quantity, value and purpose.
- Do not write vague descriptions like “gift items” only.
- Declare food/medicine clearly if accepted by service.
Duties and taxes
- Destination duty, VAT/GST, inspection, storage or handling can apply.
- Receiver may need to pay charges before delivery.
- Duty-free service can never be guaranteed unless service terms clearly provide it.
Delays
- Customs can hold parcels for checking or documents.
- Food, medicine, wooden items and commercial goods can take longer.
- Wrong declaration can lead to penalty, return or seizure.
